The Problem.
Ghana's pharmacy supply chain is fragmented and largely paper-based. Most of the country's 3,000+ community pharmacies manage inventory with ledger books, have no visibility into distributor pricing, and process NHIS claims manually — leading to stockouts, expired drugs, and delayed reimbursements.
The disconnect between prescribers and dispensers means drug interactions go unchecked, controlled substance tracking is inconsistent, and patients often visit multiple pharmacies to fill a single prescription.
Core Modules.
Eight modules covering inventory, supply chain, billing, and compliance — six in active build today, two planned.
Inventory Management
Real-time stock tracking across all SKUs. Barcode/QR scanning, batch tracking, and multi-location support for chain pharmacies.
Reorder-Point Tracking
Reorder-point tracking with low-stock flags across all SKUs. Planned: demand forecasting and auto-generated purchase orders.
Expiry Tracking
FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) enforcement with on-demand expiry filtering and batch-recall support. Planned: scheduled expiry alerts.
Distributor Marketplace
Planned: connect directly with licensed distributors to compare prices, check availability, and place orders — all within the platform.
NHIS Claims
Manual NHIS claims register for covered prescriptions, with a cross-pharmacy review queue. Automated adjudication and real-time eligibility verification are on the roadmap (partnership-gated).
Cold Chain Monitoring
Planned: IoT temperature monitoring for cold-chain drugs (vaccines, insulin), with automated alerts on excursions and a compliance audit trail.
Billing & POS
Integrated point-of-sale with MoMo, card, and cash payment acceptance. Automatic receipt generation and daily reconciliation.
Analytics & Reporting
Sales trends, margin analysis, slow-movers, and controlled substance reporting. FDA Ghana compliance dashboards.
SKU & Lot tracking.
Every dispensed unit traces back to a specific lot, batch, and expiry — auditable to FDA-Ghana and recall-ready in minutes, not days.
