Wallet & Transactions

Manage your Danipa wallet — check balances, view transaction history, download receipts, and fund your account.

Your Danipa Wallet

Your wallet is your digital account within Danipa. It holds your funds and is used for all transactions — sending money, receiving payments, and paying for services.

Checking Your Balance

Your wallet balance is displayed on the home screen of the app. Tap the balance to toggle between showing and hiding the amount for privacy.

If you have wallets in multiple currencies, swipe left/right to view each one.

Funding Your Wallet

From Mobile Money

  1. From the home screen, tap Add Money
  2. Select Mobile Money
  3. Choose your provider (e.g., MTN MoMo)
  4. Enter the amount to add
  5. Tap Continue
  6. You'll receive a USSD prompt on your phone — enter your mobile money PIN to approve
  7. Funds appear in your wallet within seconds

From Bank Transfer

  1. Tap Add MoneyBank Transfer
  2. You'll see your unique Danipa deposit account details:
    • Bank name
    • Account number
    • Account name
  3. Transfer funds from your bank to these details
  4. Funds typically arrive within 1–2 business hours

Note: Bank transfer deposits are available for Premium tier accounts only.

Withdrawing Funds

To Mobile Money

  1. Tap Withdraw from the home screen
  2. Select Mobile Money
  3. Enter or select the phone number to receive the funds
  4. Enter the amount
  5. Review the withdrawal fee and confirm
  6. Authorize with your transaction PIN

Withdrawals to mobile money are typically instant.

Transaction History

Viewing Transactions

  1. Tap Transactions from the home screen or bottom navigation
  2. You'll see a chronological list of all transactions

Each transaction shows:

  • Type — Send, Receive, Add Money, Withdraw, Payment
  • Amount — with currency
  • Recipient/Sender — name and phone number
  • Date & Time
  • Status — Completed, Pending, Failed

Filtering Transactions

Use the filter options to narrow your history:

  • By type — Sent, Received, Deposits, Withdrawals
  • By date range — Select start and end dates
  • By status — Completed, Pending, Failed

Searching

Tap the search icon to find transactions by:

  • Recipient name
  • Phone number
  • Transaction reference number

Transaction Receipts

Every completed transaction generates a digital receipt.

Viewing a Receipt

  1. Go to Transactions
  2. Tap on any completed transaction
  3. Scroll down to see the full receipt with:
    • Transaction reference number
    • Date and time
    • Sender and recipient details
    • Amount and fees
    • Exchange rate (for international transfers)
    • Status

Downloading a Receipt

On the transaction detail screen, tap Download Receipt to save a PDF to your device. You can also tap Share to send it via WhatsApp, email, or other apps.

Multi-Currency Wallets

If you transact in multiple currencies, Danipa automatically creates wallets for each currency you use.

Viewing Currency Wallets

On the home screen, swipe left/right on your balance to see each currency wallet.

Currency Conversion

To convert between your wallets:

  1. Tap MoreConvert Currency
  2. Select the source currency and destination currency
  3. Enter the amount
  4. Review the exchange rate
  5. Tap Convert

Conversion between your own wallets uses the same competitive rates as international transfers, with a reduced fee of 0.5%.

Security Tips

  • Never share your transaction PIN with anyone — Danipa staff will never ask for it
  • Enable biometric login (fingerprint or face ID) in Settings → Security
  • Review your transactions regularly — report any unauthorized activity immediately
  • Lock your account if you suspect unauthorized access: Settings → Security → Lock Account
