Download transaction receipts, generate account statements, and export records for tax and accounting purposes.
Overview
Every transaction on Danipa generates a digital receipt. You can also generate account statements for any period — useful for personal records, tax filings, or business accounting.
Transaction Receipts
Viewing a Receipt
- Go to Transactions
- Tap on any completed transaction
- The receipt shows:
- Transaction reference — unique identifier
- Date and time — when the transaction was completed
- Type — send, receive, deposit, withdrawal, bill payment
- Amount — the transaction amount
- Fee — any fees charged
- Net amount — amount after fees
- Sender details — name and account
- Recipient details — name, phone number, provider
- Exchange rate — for international transfers
- Status — completed, pending, or failed
Downloading a Receipt
On the transaction detail screen:
- Tap Download Receipt
- A PDF receipt is saved to your device
- The PDF includes all transaction details with the Danipa logo and reference number
Sharing a Receipt
- Open a transaction
- Tap Share
- Choose how to share:
- SMS (sends reference number)
- Other apps — via your device's share menu
The shared receipt is a formatted PDF that the recipient can open and verify.
Account Statements
Generating a Statement
- Go to More → Statements
- Select the date range:
- This month
- Last month
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Custom range — pick start and end dates
- Select the currency (if you have multiple wallets)
- Choose format:
- PDF — formatted document with Danipa branding
- CSV — spreadsheet format for accounting software
- Tap Generate
What's Included
Each statement contains:
Header:
- Your name and account details
- Statement period
- Opening balance
- Closing balance
Transaction list:

Summary:
- Total credits (money in)
- Total debits (money out)
- Total fees
- Net change
- Number of transactions
Statement Delivery
After generating:
- Download — save the file to your device immediately
- Email — send the statement to your registered email (or enter a different email)
- Both options are available on the confirmation screen
Automatic Statements
Set up monthly statements delivered to your email automatically:
- Go to More → Statements → Auto Statements
- Toggle Enable Monthly Statements
- Select the delivery date (e.g., 1st of every month for the previous month)
- Choose format (PDF or CSV)
- Confirm your email address
Statements are delivered at 8:00 AM on the selected date.
Tax Records
Annual Summary
Generate a yearly summary for tax purposes:
- Go to More → Statements → Annual Summary
- Select the tax year
- The summary includes:
- Total money received
- Total money sent
- Total fees paid
- Total bill payments
- Total merchant revenue (if applicable)
- Breakdown by month
For Merchants
Merchant accounts get additional tax-relevant data:
- Revenue report — all payments received from customers
- Fee report — all processing fees paid
- Payout report — all settlements to mobile money/bank
- Invoice summary — all invoices issued and their payment status
Access via Merchant Dashboard → Reports → Tax Reports.
Receipt Verification
Recipients of your receipts can verify their authenticity:
- Every receipt includes a verification QR code
- Scanning the QR code or visiting the verification URL shows:
- Transaction reference
- Amount
- Date
- Status (confirmed or not found)
- This helps recipients verify that a payment was genuinely made
Storage and Retention

Tip: Download and save important statements locally or to cloud storage for long-term record-keeping.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I get a receipt for a failed transaction?
Yes. Failed transactions appear in your history with a "Failed" status. The receipt shows the attempted details and the failure reason.
Q: Can I request a certified statement?
For official/certified statements (e.g., for visa applications or legal purposes), contact support at support@danipa.com. Certified statements are issued within 2 business days.
Q: Are statements available in other languages?
Statements are currently available in English and French. The language matches your app language setting.
Q: Why does my statement show a different balance than my wallet?
Statements show the balance at the end of the selected period, not the current balance. Your wallet shows your real-time balance.
